Mark: My favorite zone in Midgaard is The Shire. Go west through the city gate to the sign on the road, then wander generally north and west and north into The Shire. Then, create all kindsa mayhem.

There are excellent weapons and armor to be found there. The Thain Girth is one of the best armors in the Midgaard World; the Thain's Bardiche is one of the best weapons.

Also there's all those pesky little halflings running around. Die hobbit scum!

BTW and FWIW, the three Midgaard friends Mark, Lisa and Meghan met in the middle 1990s on a CircleMUD world called "Perilous Realms", which had The Shire. My favorite challenge in that world was getting to a level where I could kill the Wizard unassisted.

Mark: Muddy boots found in the sewer maze beneath Midgaard City are definitely worth finding. But be careful down there: there are death trap rooms with instant death. They'll clearly marked, but curious players go there anyway. Big Note: bring a Scroll of Recall - it's truly difficult to find your way out again.

Mark: The Dragon Scale Shirt worn by a particular dragon is one of the best armor items in the Midgaard world. The dragon is in the hills north of Dwarven Village. At high enough level you can take him alone, but I recommend a Warrior, Cleric and Mage do it together. The mix of spells is just what you need.
