How do I get help when I need it?
You might start by asking the online Help Robot. This 'bot acts like a
logged-in player, which means you can
tell
it things or
ask
it questions. Its purpose is to answer questions about the game and the City. Right
now it has a pretty complete grasp of the things newbies typically ask, and every day
we teach it answers to the questions it's asked but doesn't know. In the long run it'll
know everything an experienced player does. Best of all it never gets bored or irritated,
so, ask away.
Naturally the
FAQ
is a good resource. We see that you've found it already: a good sign. The FAQ is
populated with the questions which our Help 'bot receives most often. Plus a few odds
and ends we thought were noteworthy. It's a good idea to read everything here at least
once.
You should definitely familiarize yourself with the online
Players' Guide.
It's quite rich, and we make it a priority to keep it up to date. A lot of players
keep it open in a second window, and read it while their characters rest. Works for us.
Lastly, all of our players are very friendly and will make a point of helping you if
you ask. If you've worn out your other options, by all means do pipe up. It's no fun
if you're stuck!
