Frequently-Asked Questions
How many players are there?
Well -- that changes all the time of course. We opened to the
public on 10/1/01, and we're slowly growing. As of the last time
this page was updated (6/23/02), there are about 1800 players in
the database, with about 2000 characters, and we seem to be growing
by about 50 new players per week.
If TC grows as anticipated, we'll reach "critical mass"
at some point, after which growth will become very rapid. That
critical mass point is some combination of completeness plus number
of active characters. We don't know what that is: but when we reach
it, we'll shout YAY really loud.
