The ancient Theater of Dionysos is open for exploration.
East of the Agora in the NorthWestern Third, the Theater is a simple series of stone benches built on the slopes of a natural amphitheater. Spectacularly located inside a bend of the White River, it is one of the most venerable and revered cultural treasures of the Third.
Our intention is to use the Dionysos similar to the Globe Theatre in the Southern Third. There, the Globe is playing Shakespeare's "As You Like It" — software agents simulating androids impersonating men impersonating women impersonating men. Got all that? Our plan for the Dionysos is to stage plays by Brecht, and others appropriate to the themes of the Third.
To reach the Dionysos, walk all the way south along White River Esplanade until you reach its final bend to the west. Or, take the Red Line to Agora Station, walk south to the Esplanade, then two steps east.
