TriadCity's sarcastic Paris Garden is open for exploration.
Our Paris Garden is one component of a larger satire on blood sports which will fill the corner of the NorthEastern Third lying between Palatine, the River, and the Circus Maximus.
Historically, the real "Paris Garden" was a theater of animal cruelty in Elizabethan London specializing in bear baiting, along with fights between dogs and exotic animals such as elephants, hyenas, badgers and monkeys. Indeed, in Elizabethan times a famous fighting monkey named Jacco Macacco was something like an animal popstar, admired for his intelligent victories over the toughest pit dogs in the land. As we often do, we've included spins on historical characters where we can locate them.
Of course, since this is TriadCity, in addition to boar baiting and wolf baiting and mare stoning and fox tossing and goose pulling we also have kitten baiting and sparrow baiting and other bursts of sarcasm we won't spoil for you here.
While our Paris Garden is today open for exploration, we don't consider this initial iteration to be "done". Future updates will include ability to rescue the animals, along with plot points for the TriadCity world as a whole which will become more apparent as new parts of the City are built out. Watch this space.
With the Paris Garden ready for exploring, we'll soon add the nearby Arena, Coliseum, and certain themed sports bars making our satirical purpose more explicit.
