SYNTAX EXAMPLE NATURAL LANGUAGE EXAMPLE
liberate <thing> liberate slave liberate the slave
liberate <n>.<thing> liberate 2.slave liberate the second slave
liberate <modifier> <thing> liberate big slave liberate the big slave

USE:

  1. Use form one when there's no possible ambiguity. In the example, there's only one slave present.
  2. Use form two when there are many instances of <thing> present, and you want to liberate one of them in particular.
  3. Use form three to add a modifier, typically an adjective, to the verb.

Liberate searches for <thing> inside the Room where you are. That makes sense, since you have to remove their shackles and so on.

Liberate removes the shackles many slaves wear, and causes the slave to immediately follow you. You can Liberate many slaves, that is, you can have many liberated slaves follow you at the same time. It's your responsibility to bring them to safety — and it's entirely likely that attempts will be made to stop you.

Not every slave desires liberation. Some will refuse, and even resist. It's up to you to suss them out.

Because the command is enabled for "natural language" parsing, you can many variations and still be understood. "Liberate the second slave", "liberate the 2nd guard", "liberate 2.slave" and many others will all do fine.
