Special Commands for the Talking Client.
The talking client requires a handful of specialized commands to handle its voice preferences and other peculiarities. Here's a reference:
- Faster increases the speed of the voice. You can enter this command several times until the voice is fast enough.
- Higher raises the pitch of the voice. You can enter this command several times until the voice is high enough.
- Louder increases the volume of the voice. You can enter this command several times until the voice is loud enough.
- Lower lowers the pitch of the voice. You can enter this command several times until the voice is low enough.
- Quieter decreases the volume of the voice. You can enter this command several times until the voice is quiet enough.
- Slower decreases the speed of the voice. You can enter this command several times until the voice is slow enough.
- Voice changes the selected voice. Type 'voice <voice-name>', where the name of the voice is one of the voices available in the voices list. Type 'voice default' to restore the default voice.
- Voices reads a list of the voices available.

Arrow keys and escape key
navigate through the last spoken text, allowing individual words such as unusual player names to be spelled:
- Up arrow re-reads the previous line of the last spoken text.
- Down arrow re-reads the next line of the last spoken text.
- Left arrow re-reads the previous word of the last spoken text.
- Right arrow re-reads the next word of the last spoken text.
- Escape key spells the current word of the last spoken text.

Arrow keys with modifier
navigate through your command history, and the channel messages received from the game.
On Mac, use the "Meta" (command or Apple) key plus the arrows;
on Windows use the shift key plus the arrows.
- Command (Mac) or shift (Win) plus Up arrow retrieves the previous command in the history and enters it into the command field.
- Command (Mac) or shift (Win) plus Down arrow retrieves the next command in the history and enters it into the command field.
- Command (Mac) plus shift (Win) plus Left arrow re-reads the previous channel message.
- Command (Mac) plus shift (Win) plus Right arrow re-reads the next channel message.
