How to Play TriadCity

The TriadCity Players' Guide

Etiquette: be sensible with offensive role-play

In TC there are no rules against offensive role-play. It's an environment for grownups, after all.

Yet it's extremely important to balance that lack of constraint with sensible respect for the experience of others. If you're offending people, they're probably not having fun. If they're not having fun, they probably won't return. If they don't return, that's bad.

One suggestion is to limit offensive behaviors to those who agree to experience them. So, if someone objects, stop. And take your behavior to another location whether the people don't object.

TriadCity's Game Wardens are empowered to prevent abuse. We hope they never have to. Please be sensible when you role-play.

"The fantastic genre ... involves a confrontation between two worlds whose basic physical norms are mutually incompatible. A miracle is "Another world's intrusion into this one," according to a character in Pynchon's The Crying of Lot 49, and it is precisely the miraculous in this sense of the term that constitutes the ontological structure of the fantastic genre."
