If you're too far out of alignment you'll have trouble
Learning,
Stealing,
Healing,
Tracking,
or performing the other higher-level actions which bring you the most
Experience
and which make your character unique.
This can be quite mystifying.
If you're frustrated that you've just burned 40
Practices
and haven't yet advanced your
Sneak
Skill even though your
Intelligence
attribute
is quite high — have a look at your drift.
Too far in either direction and you're stuffed.
