The current chest cold in the City is tough and lingers for a looong time. While Gwene has some of her energy back and can help others, I am really worried she will infect her friends.
Could there be a box for masks in the public infirmary on White Plaza? Maybe next to the box of bandages? That would provide some protection for people Gwene is helping!

What a great idea!

Wearing a mask would impede propagation of (certain) illness variants - but possibly not block them altogether. There can be masks of varying quality.

Please make it possible for us to hold the mask and then "mask" NPCs (like bandaging works with "bandage" command), because the temple scribe has both current strains of cold and cannot carry the weight of the mask offered.

Not so sure. A lot of things will attack if you try to touch them. Off the top of my head: Blackshirts, Stormtroopers, Prelati, temple wolves, fidos, rats, arachnids, Peacekeepers, VV plainclothes guards, Bai Sheng, the punk kid in the alley, many of the VV cowboys, the NE judges/executioners/prison guards, many merchants, vampires, some of the undead, some of the intoxicated characters, pretty much all the bartenders, I'm sure there are dozens more.

You'd be safe doing it on SI. Wait for Blackshirts to wonder onto the island, then mask 'em. That'd be funny. Prelati, not so much.
