Hi. A player today was having trouble buying from shops. I believe he's VI, and from chats I think he was spelling some words phonetically. "buy a pair of comfy shoes" was "buy a pear of comfy shoes". I know this has been tweaked with command words. The example of "look at the sine" being automatically changed to "look at the sign" is in an MOTD if I remember. Can you do this with arguments to the "buy" command as well?
