Well, my beloved Ssriye just died. Due, not to fault of my own, but to lag. Now, I'm not so crass as to beg for it to be brought back, although I would love it to be, but I was wondering if it would be against some unwritten rule to create a character who Ssriye's tortured mind entered when it died? Even if it cannot be identical, I would like to play a similar personality...

What happened? I see that poor Ssriye was killed by a slave group leader. (Ela was also killed, was it the same encounter?)

In any case, by all means, create a new character to carry Ssriye's spirit and personality!

It was lag, I'm afraid. Ssriye, as you know is not a nice person, and as such was attacking a newbie whiner. He was unconcious and it only had to hit him only once more. I typed in the command and hit enter. Then, the demon of lag struck. Between the time that I hit enter and the time that it took effect, the foreman came in to area and killed Ssriye. I'd had an encounter with the foreman before, and I'd heard what happened to Ela, so I knew to avoid the foreman... It was tragic.

Do you mind if eventually Ssriye takes over completely and remakes Selye's body into it's own image?

In my view the characterization of characterters you create is entirely up to you. Change them and remake them as you choose!

I've lost a few characters to lag, bugs, and stupidity - This brings up an interesting question. Will it ever be possible to reuse characters? As of now, if I make a character named Bill, and he dies, I can never make another character with that name. Is reincarnation a possibility? Or undeath? There are any number of possibilities to bring the dead back into play - will it ever happen?

Not in the usual way. Instead there will be a rich possibility of afterlife experiences based on the character's life history.

I don't want to say more than that right now, except that along with dreams I expect this to become one of my personal favorite things about TC. Really looking forward to getting it written (but not this week).

Oh Cayora, I'm so sorry to hear about Ssriye! I absolutely agree with the other posts, and Triad City wouldn't be the same without a Ssriye character. We'd love to see a substitute/clone character in its place. <p>
Also I'd like to say that I for one really appreciate your characters in general which are (IMHO)the most complete and imaginative characters in the city. Your characterisation is amazing! Carry on the good work!
