We're sick of the admittedly infrequent, but nevertheless annoying episodes of lag which we've traced to our networking code having a nervous breakdown. Have a look at bug #4026 for an example of y'all being perhaps even more annoyed than we typically are.

So, we've implemented a new and reputedly improved networking framework called MINA. For cheap geek thrills, click the link and go nuts.

We've had it running in dev for a while now and all seems to be well.

You're supposed to see absolutely no differences. Well - the occasional lag is supposed to disappear, but, you know, other than that, completely invisible.

But, there's nothing like the so-called "real world" to completely bork your expectations.

Please bug anything weird(er than usual).

Thanks!
