TriadCity Message of the Day
2026-07-01

TriadCity's playtime bonus system is being upgraded.

Until now, weekend and repeat play bonuses were computed based on the Pacific time zone in the USA. This has been unintuitive for our many players from Australia, Europe, India and elsewhere. Going forward, these day-and-time bonuses will be based on your time zone rather than ours.

Mostly.

There are two unavoidable exceptions. We're unable to learn your time zone from MUD clients or telnet sessions. So, instead, we'll take a best guess based on your computer's Internet address. This isn't always accurate, and we can't guarantee results. Moral: if the hours of the day matter to your bonus management, use our clients instead.

As this is written, the Web, iOS and Android clients all work correctly with the new system. Be sure to update to the latest versions.
