How about a new "slot" for worn equpiment, the "mouth" slot.
It could be used to chew things, such as gum, herbs, tobacco, and many other things. Perhaps it could also be used to hold cigarettes, toothpicks, pipes, thermometers, etc. To remove what is held in the "mouth" slot, people could "remove" it, or, alternatively, use the "spit" command.
