Can we have a GroupChat, where a message to that channel goes to all your group members but nobody else?

Some MUDs have GuildChat but TC doesn't have guilds. TC does have groups of friends who like to play together. Could we have a CliqueChat which would be private to those groups? I'm sure there's a better word than "clique", I just mean a sort-of exclusive club who like to play together.

When you’re in a group you can use say.

i agree with Kata, when you're in a group you will always be in the same room so "Say" works fine.

i also believe that these group chats etc would take away the RP part of the game. or whats left of it.

Say is not private. It's heard by everyone in the room, including NPCs, some of whom will react to it.

I'm surprised by your responses, since your group has been using public channels (chat, say, ooc, shout) for private group communication in Finnish or whatever. Players complained about that so now it's been stopped I guess. My suggestion lets you do the same thing without spamming public channels, or making players feel you're bending over backward to tell them they're being excluded.

Yes, the language is Finnish, not whatever. And yes, Nina and I have been using Finnish mostly in say channel, please tell me how does that bother you? and if we have used it in any other chat forms, we have always apologized for it profusely. It might have been we have forgotten there has been other players online since we never hear from them

no one is being excluded. at least thats not the point. Finnish is my first language and i'm using it while playing with just 1-2 players and that shouldn't offend anyone. i'm sorry.

i find it very offensive that you are telling me that by speaking finnish i'm excluding people. I just spent 1-2 hours today to get a newbie player started... (in english)

Everytime i see a new Char. I'm asking them if there is anything i could do for them.

There are even finnish items in the game. do you think they should be allowed to stay?

Say will also open certain locks. Not very likely they're triggered by Finnish but this is a place full of unexpected things.
