I think it would be great for new players if the donation table carried over its contents at server resets, just like player housing does.

If this were the case, wealthier players would be happy to donate a good supply of important items for newbies, such as comfy running shoes, studded leather bracers, canteens, daypacks, spectacles, and particularly fresh herb sachets.

A big barrier I remember when starting out was always having my arms too full and carrying too much weight, which can be easily and cheaply solved by having some bracers to boost strength and some comfy running shoes. More practices and learning success can be provided by gold spectacles, and of course everyone should have a canteen and daypack.

Naturally, the table could become cluttered over time. Perhaps a "cleanup" power should be given to game wardens or some other group, to move items from the donation table to the recycling center or trash dump.

Just to expand on this idea, I remember when I was a new player that my #1 problem was running out of energy constantly. No one needs herb sachets more than poor newbies, so if there was some way to provide herb sachets to newbies (fresh, un-expired sachets, that is), it would be really, really useful.

If there was a way to be sure they stayed unexpired, even if the tables reset at times, I would probably donate a few every so often just to make sure they were available.

The Ring of Thanks not only improves energy gain, it also increases energy too. Its not as powerful as a sachet but it helps.They are permanent, free and you can wear 4 of them. Not a bad trade off.

Also, if there are no players around to give the person a personal sachet, they can find that a store called Herbs, located at the second floor of the white plaza, sells sachets that help keep your energy up. His prices are reasonable too. (I feel like this should be in Lore)
