Bought my first new computer in some while. First Vista computer ever. Found that the TC player, builder and admin applets refuse to size correctly in IE 8. All other browsers seem fine, including Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Only IE is unhappy.

So. If you're having trouble with IE 8, just switch to something else!

Meanwhile I'll research the problem.

Note that all seems well with IE on Win7. The problem seems to be limited to IE8 on Vista.

Simple Version:
Compatibility View seems to make it work.

Detailed Information:
I just tried opening IE8 on the laptop I'm using (OS is Windows 7) and noticed that it is not sized correctly on it. I tried to open it in IE8 64-bit version, but got more security errors than I wished to troubleshoot. I also opened it in Lunascape using the Trident engine and discovered the same thing.

After that, I tried running IE8 with "compatibility view" checked and that seemed to cause it to return to normal size. Tested on Vista and it works there as well. Didn't find anything like that in Lunascape, but I also can't think of any reason to use the Trident engine in Lunascape to run a java applet.

If there are any Lunascape users, I'd suggest sticking to the Gecko engine for the applet. Trident loads in only a small part of the screen and WebKit seems to crash/freeze the browser when loading.
