These are distinct from Items in your Inventory, which is your stash of stuffs currently carried but not worn.

Equipment can change many of your Attributes. While Armor may be the most immediately noticeable, certain desirable Items may also increase Intelligence or Constitution or other dynamic values, enhancing your character's abilities. Or, certain eq may decrease attribute values. Be careful out there. Thus, certain wearable Items are more highly prized than others. These may be expensive, or difficult to come by.

Equipment can be purchased, found, stolen, donated, lent, or acquired in many other ways. As your character grows, you'll discover more of them.

Note that Tattoos are distinct from Equipment. Tattoos are inked in locations separate from worn Items; and Tattoos are permanent, while Equipment can be worn or removed at will.

Together, Equipment, Tattoos, Skills, and Levels can make characters extremely powerful. For some, this is the goal of play. For others, a means to different aspirations. You'll decide what it means to you as your characters grow.
