yell

Purpose: communicate with all listening players.
Synonyms: none

SYNTAX EXAMPLES
1. yell <message> 1. yell I'm trapped and need help!

USE:

  1. Use Yell when you want to send an urgent or emotional message to every listening character.

Yell communicates with other characters via the Shout "channel". Characters have the option to listen to Shout, or not. Everyone currently listening to Shout will receive your message, regardless of their particular location in the world. But, not everyone will be listening.

Note that Yell capitalizes and appends an exclamation point to whatever you type. The example above will be seen by players this way: "I'M TRAPPED AND NEED HELP!!"

Holler, Scream, Shout, and Yell are all variations on the same action. In each case, your message is sent via the Shout channel.

"[The] dominant of postmodernist fiction is ontological. That is, postmodernist fiction deploys strategies which engage and foreground questions like ... "Which world is this? What is to be done in it? Which of my selves is to do it?" Other typical postmodernist questions bear either on the ontology of the literary text itself or on the ontology of the world which it projects, for instance: What is a world?; What kinds of worlds are there, how are they constituted, and how do they differ?; What happens when different kinds of worlds are placed in confrontation, or when boundaries between worlds are violated?; What is the mode of existence of a text, and what is the mode of existence of the world (or worlds) it projects?; How is a projected world structured? And so on."
