accept

Purpose: agree to something proposed or offered by another character.

SYNTAX EXAMPLES

USE:

  1. Use form one to accept in general, without a specific referent.
  2. Use form two when there's no possible ambiguity. In the example, there's only one bottle being offered.
  3. Use form three or four when more information is needed to interpret the command - that is, there's more than one possible target by the same name to which the command could be applied. In the example, there's a blue bottle, a red bottle, etc.

  5. Use form five when there are many instances of <target> being offered, and you want to accept one of them in particular.

Accept can be used in a variety of contexts. Generally you'll use it to indicate agreement to something offered: an Item, a suggestion. But you can also use it to Accept life in general: accept Fate, and so on.

Unlike certain other social commands, Accept cannot be parameterized.
