|1. practice <skill name> <teacher>||1. practice parry battlemaster|
|2. learn <skill name> <teacher>||2. learn parry battlemaster|
- Use Practice to attempt to learn a new Skill, or improve an existing one.
- Learn is a synonym for Practice.
Each time your character gains a level, some quantity of new practices becomes available. One of these is expended with each use of the Practice command.
Use Practice to ask a Mobile (automated character) to work with you to improve your knowledge of a particular Skill. Note that you don't use Practice with non-automated characters; instead just ask them to Teach you the Skill. For a list of Skills which any particular character will teach you, if any, type "skills <character name>", while you're in the same room as the character.
Because the command is enabled for "natural language" parsing, you can use all kinds of variations and still be understood. "Practice parry with the battlemaster", "practice parry with the second battlemaster", "practice parry 2nd battlemaster", "practice parry 2.battlemaster", and many others will all do fine.
